Check PowerFolder for updates
Unchecking this setting will deactivate the search of updates to PowerFolder. We recommend not doing so, because PowerFolder will provide new features and bug fixes in every release.
Warn on close of program if a folder is still syncing
If you want to be sure that PowerFolder is finished syncing when you shutdown your computer check this box. This feature was created to make sure that a backup is finished before quiting PowerFolder.
Warn on limited connectivity
You will be informed if PowerFolder does not get any incoming connections. With Nat traversal and Relayed connections activated this will be a very rare problem. If it occurs you will see a yellow triangle in the lower left corner.
Warn on possible file name problems
Different systems have different sensitivities for case problems in filenames. 'PowerFolder' is for Linux another name than 'powerfolder'. For Windows it is the same. PowerFolder will warn if there are possible conflicts.
Sync anyways
Will take the file with the latest change date and overwrite the older one
Rename
Rename one file to solve the conflict
Do nothing
Don't sync/don't rename/don't overwrite
Ask to add to friend list if a node becomes member of a Folder
There is a difference between friends and members; members are mostly passive in a Folder (except in certain custom profiles), Friends can alter the content. PowerFolder will ask you if you want to add new Folder members to your Friend list if this setting is activated. It is also working as some kind of notification if somebody joins the Folder.
Ask to add personal message for friends
This setting makes it possible to add some short message to invitations.
Warn on low available memory
If PowerFolder is handling a lot of files it will need more memory. This Dialog will show up and inform you that you can assign more RAM to PowerFolder. If you don't want to do so, please make sure that you reduce the files which PowerFolder has to handle.
